People often become team managers because they’re technically brilliant, not because they’ve been taught how to lead. But managing people requires a completely different skillset. Without it, even the most capable people find themselves stuck with a confidence gap, unsure how to lead effectively.
That gap isn’t just about skills. It can trigger long-held internal stories — the ones that quietly shape how we see ourselves. Stories that, if left unchecked, erode confidence, dent self-belief and impact performance, morale and wellbeing.
