What's your story
Stories are everywhere. They're in the brands we buy, the companies we work for, and especially in the narratives we tell ourselves every day.
We all have three core human needs:
• to feel seen
• to feel heard
• to be accepted for who we truly are
Yet, too often, the stories we tell ourselves leave us feeling invisible, unheard, or unaccepted. We interpret events through these narratives, giving them meaning, often inaccurately.
Didn’t get that promotion?
"I always knew that manager didn't like me."
"They thought my work was rubbish."
Friend cancelled plans?
"They don't enjoy spending time with me anymore."
"I upset them when I didn’t reply last week."
Left out of a family event?
"It's like I don't exist to them."
"They don't care about me."
You get the gist.
Unconsciously, we replay these stories until they form ingrained patterns of thought. These patterns quickly become deep-rooted beliefs about ourselves, others, and how the world operates.
While we remain unaware, these beliefs quietly embed themselves into our identities. They influence our behaviour, relationships, productivity, self-worth, and even our happiness, often negatively.
But here's the good news: once you become aware of your stories, you gain the power to rewrite them. You can consciously shape new beliefs, build healthier relationships, and create realities that empower you rather than hold you back.
