Leadership skills training

Communication
One of the core skills we need in our leaders is the ability to communicate well. Yet it’s lacking in so many. This topic explores the importance of understanding our audience and message positioning. It also gives you tools to plan and deliver effective communication.
Mindsets
It’s important people understand the impact mindset has on our performance (and indeed our lives). This is an introduction to the concepts of growth and fixed mindsets. We’ll also look at how developing a coaching mindset builds relations and drives belief in potential.
Emotional intelligence
When we understand our emotions and the role they play in our responses, we can exceed goals and reach our fullest potential. This topic explores the four key emotional intelligence skills of self-awareness, social awareness, self-management and relationship management and helps increase our emotional intelligence.
Storytelling
Whether you’re using stories in marketing or during periods of change, compelling stories drive connection to our hearts and minds. This topic looks at the neuroscience of stories and provides simple tools to develop and share them, inspiring conversation and igniting change.
Feedback
Great leaders need to be able to give effective feedback (and be comfortable receiving feedback too). This topic explores the role feedback plays in improving performance and shares a simple structure to help give constructive feedback.
Influencing
The ability to influence is an essential leadership skill based on trust. To influence is to have an impact on the behaviours, attitudes, opinions and choices of others. This can help with implementing change, launching a new initiative or making decisions. The topic looks at the different styles of influencing and provides tools to take away and put into practice.
Goals and motivations
It’s important to have a clear understanding not only of how to set clear goals for ourselves and our teams, but also how our goals help to support and deliver the company vision. This subject explores just that. We also look into motivation, and how we respond to internal and external motivators.
Resilience
With change an ever-constant in our lives, it's important people can navigate it well, able to tap into their strengths and support systems to work through the challenges that arise. Resilience enables better problem-solving and helps to maintain motivation.
Delegation
The ability to delegate effectively is a crucial skill for all leaders. Leaders can’t, and shouldn’t, do everything themselves. Delegating empowers teams, making them feel important while building trust and enabling others’ development, encouraging them to show what they’re capable of.
How it works
Group training
Workshops can be held in bite-sized 90 minutes through to a full day, and as an in-person or virtual event. Contact me to discuss your preferences and we can design a session to suit your needs.
Worksheets
Where appropriate, worksheets or toolkits can be provided to help further embed learning.
